The National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) 國民租房補貼計劃(國家租金負擔能力計劃) is an Australian Government initiative to stimulate the supply of 50,000 new affordable rental dwellings by June 2012.
Successful NRAS applicants are eligible to receive a National Rental Incentive for each approved dwelling where they are rented to eligible low and moderate income households at a rate that is at least 20 per cent below the prevailing market rate. The Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (SEWPaC) is responsible for the management of NRAS, in consultation with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

Thank you for attending our seminar on Wednesday 14 December 2011 while we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. NRAS (National Rental Affordability Scheme) is certainly a wonderful investment avenue offered by the Federal and State Governments and it has certainly created much interest. However, the window of opportunity is very limited due to funding constraints.
A number of parties are pursuing a purchase, and we welcome the chance to explain any part of the scheme again in a face-to-face appointment with you. And remember, you are also limited by time to obtain the extra State Government cash $10,000 bonus by 30 April 2012.
